meet my grandmother...

she is a fun, wild, fashionable lady.

she is unconventional in some of the best ways. 

those of you that know her know exactly what i'm talking about because you've heard the stories.

my grandmother is definitely one of a kind and i'm so glad for all the time we have spent together.

 

the other day she unexpectedly stopped by the house which was a pleasant surprise. 

she brought something with her. 

these amazing owls....

she saw them and thought of me and how they would match our house and could resist getting them.

of course i was thrilled!

what may have been even more thrilling was our conversation. 

we talked about rugs.  really fancy rugs.

 

grandmother---they are hand tufted which means you can't use a kirby beater bar on them

me---(laughing)wait, what did you say?  what's that?(laughing harder)

grandmother---(laughing) it's a type of vacuum.

i brought up the line....kirby beater bar...about 15 more times in our conversation and we laughed every time.

we also had a discussion about one of her recent adventures.  i won't go into details but let's just say sometimes i wish i had guts like her.  she is pretty fearless.

thank you grandmother for a surprise visit and the perfect gift.
