what does one do on a road trip?
take billions of pictures like these that i'm going to share with you.
what else?
take over the cd's to create a road trip soundtrack that makes your husband want to plug his ears the entire time then sing along and maybe dance a little too.
then take a picture of your shoe because you like the smiley face on it.
another thing you do is enjoy every bit of the nonstop cloudy, rainy, chilly perfect weather that makes is seem like it's not really august and you don't really live in arizona.
then you take a picture of a street sign for your mother because that street has the same name as the love of her life (my dad) who currently resides in heaven. you get excited about seeing that street sign not only because it's your dads name but it's also your husbands middle name. you get excited again when you see a street sign a little ways down the road that happens to have your husbands first name, then you might get a little sad that you didn't have the camera ready to capture that sign.
it's possible that you take way too many pictures of the road because there is so much beauty around you that you want to remember all of it.
you even hang your arm out the window as it and the camera gets rained on but you don't care because you are on a quest to get the perfect shot.
then after winding through a tiny road in the mountains and driving through clouds you arrive at your destination.
a place you have heard about but never been to until now.
you marvel at the pure magic that this place is and don't even care that you are walking through the rain without an umbrella and that your feet are soaked because you are just so caught up in the magic of this place.
you take lots of pictures of you and za husband and laugh about how you look like turtles with out streched necks in a certain picture.
more to come about this very fun day and this location plus another location...
Wow, these are great pictures. Where did you go? Prescott or Sedona? Maybe Jerome?
