falling apart+rusty=beautiful

this is my most favorite spot to take pictures in jerome.  in my opinion you just can't go wrong with rusty places that are falling apart....i love old stuff.  i find so much beauty in a place that is worn out because it has stories...lots of them i'm sure.

clearly i don't even know it's time to be ready for a picture when i'm taking it.

there is a historical plaque that gives exact dates and neat information on the area.  i read it when we went a year ago so i only remember bits and pieces.  this time i wasn't in much of a mood to read or soak it in like on our last visit.  want to know why?  maybe you don't but i'm telling anyway.  it was hot!  i don't mean just a little hot.  i mean sweat dripping humid hot.  i get extremely cranky when i'm overheated just like when i'm hungry, yeah remember that....not one of my finer moments and this was almost a repeat. when we first arrived in jerome it was overcast and not bad at all, within 45 minutes the sun came out but there were lingering clouds and with them humidity, plus the temperature was rising.  now i understand the thing about dry heat not being so bad.  our original plan was to spend a few hours, take billions of pictures, rummage through every shop, and explore like crazy but we didn't stay long at all.  i did manage to get a few gems from a certain wonderful shop and those will be shared in the next post.  we decided another visit will happen when the weather is much cooler.  oh and for the record, i wasn't the only person unhappy with the heat....za husband was on the verge of a breakdown too, i think, maybe.
