lately from ever

hi everyone...it's me...ever.

excuse me for being behind on posting again. something i will not apologize for is the amount of pictures in this post including repetitive pictures because they are all so good and worth sharing.

first things first...i love when yaya watches me so my parents can go out on a date because she lets me make the biggest messes and do things my mama usually wouldn't let me do. yaya knows and understands my naughty side. i was overjoyed when she let me take the entire yogurt cup and rub it all over my face, the highchair, and my hair.

these pictures just show the beginning of the mess.

lately i'm really interested in my mama chewing gum. i make this face with my tongue sticking out to let her know that i want her to open up and show me what is in her mouth. mama thinks this is ridiculously cute.

i am also quite interested in eating paper and mama is always spoiling the fun by taking it away from me....after she snaps a few pictures of course.

this is the face i make when i see something that really makes me happy, like something i see on the computer or tv.

last week there was a day that it snowed. on that day yaya brought over a new stuffed husky for me and i called her brulé. i spent the next few days cuddling and kissing my brulé.

i am still really picky about most foods but something i recently discovered and love is watermelon. i think it is most delicious.

as the sun was setting the other day mama took me outside to play. i loved picking up rocks and saying "what's that" a million times, then i tried to taste the rocks several times but that darn watchdog of a mom i have prevented me from tasting what i thought would be yummy morsels.

can you tell my mama is obsessed with taking pictures of me?

week 10/52

as usual we were admiring ever while she slept in my arms last night. i figured this sweet peaceful sleeping picture would be perfect for her portrait of the week.

also i have to add these two close up shots of my sleeping beauty...

i am always admiring her mega lashes and plump lips.

it seems like lots of boys are lucky enough to have super long eyelashes but ever is in that rare group of girls that has ten foot long eyelashes...i wish i was in that group.

and these lips....papa is desperately hoping that she will always be very cautious with giving kisses. the only things she freely kisses all the time now are her favorite stuffed animals. it is very rare that she freely gives a smooch to her mama or papa...we usually have to steal them.

p.s. ever is wearing this. we have two of those and if a new mom asked me about essential items i would completely recommend a couple of those. i was so worried about how i would keep ever warm at night without her getting tangled up in blankets and this has been the answer. maybe soon i should post about what products i found most helpful as a first time mom because i know prior to having her i was really lost about what i did/didn't need. now i know for sure what was absolutely worth having and what we could have done without.

my art on society6

if you click this link it will take you to my shop on society6. i still have my other shop open at this time, but it has very limited stock. i'm not completely sure how often i'll add originals. for a long time i had been wanting to make prints of my paintings but it always seemed a little complicated. prints are cool because very often several people want the same painting and very often i've painted the same thing over and over again. when i do that it kind of takes the fun out of painting. also when selling originals i wasn't really charging an adequate amount to compensate for my time and materials and i had a hard time charging more. anyway society6 is great in the sense that i'm able to add as much art as i please and then you can choose if you want a print and what size or a canvas or an iphone cover or shirt or tote bag or throw pillow, etc. my prices on society6 are extra reasonable in fact my profit is very small since i decided to keep the prices reasonable but the creating (other than the original) and shipping is no longer my responsibility which is nice. so since all the work is up to society6 they get most of the money but i like the idea of getting my name out in the world and having my art on so many different items so....here goes skyelish on society6. i'll be adding more to the shop so check back often. if a certain painting i've done stands out that you'd like added to the shop let me know. spread the word if you so please and wish me luck!

p.s. this is also cool because so far all of the items in the shop are originals that hang in my home. friends and family have admired them and now they have a chance to have their very own version in their homes.

ever the dog

sunday we made a trip out to my moms so we could take the dogs on a walk. ever was beyond thrilled to see her furry friends. she kept talking to them and even decided to mimic them by sticking her tongue out like in the pictures below. it was hard to not have brulé on the walk with us but it was a great opportunity to give all sorts of love to the other four and enjoy fresh air. it seems the only way ever tolerates being in the carrier is if the dogs are present so i see more walks like this in our future.

my mom set ever down to let her play in the dirt and it broke her heart when we finally picked her up to go back to the house. on the way up to the house we had to let her down to play in the dirt again but when it started to get dark we picked her up to finish our trek to the house and she threw a fit.

as mentioned previously i am going to post a portrait a week of ever.

i took this one after she woke up today. side note: her pajamas are completely fitting for her....there is a bee on the shirt and it says too busy to sleep....that's my ever.

anyway she was in the middle of saying kitty when i snapped this picture as she chased pellegrino around. in fact it was really sweet because this morning once i opened the bedroom door i called for pellegrino and clicked my tongue. then ever copied me by saying kitty and clicking her tongue. next thing you know pells runs in the room and hops into ever's crib. she had the sweetest high pitched gibberish conversation and pet him in a gentle way which we have been teaching. it almost look like she is using a rolling pin when she does it. she puts both hands on his side while he is laying next to her and she rubs back and forth. the love those two have developed for one another is absolutely adorable to witness.

11 month old ever

our girl is already eleven months. during the past couple days i can't help but be taken back to this time last year when i was really pregnant....full of a baby girl, anticipation, fear, and excitement. my thoughts were constantly focused on meeting my daughter and wondering what the entire experience would be like. now here she is almost a year old and that is just as mind blowing as this time last year was knowing that in a matter of weeks i would have a baby. it is all so amazing.

today we took her photo shoot outside since the weather was so nice and here is the eleven month old....
