it seemed like a much better tool to zest my citrus rather than my lame little zester i've had for ages.
i saw one at the store one day and realized how sharp it is and decided that it would be a bad thing for me to own since i don't get along with sharp kitchen utensils. i wimped out.
a week or so after that i was watching ratatouille
(a window display at disneyland that stole my heart)
and i noticed the chefs in that movie used one to zest their lemons so i should get over my fear. my need for one was alive again all because of ratatouille.
i got over my fear and bought one and i've used it a few times. it works way better than what i used before and i've loved this kitchen tool until tonight when the nightmare of zesting my fingers came true.
luckily i was using it slowly and carefully so i didn't do serious damage but i'm a little afraid of that thing now.
in other more important news we spent some lovely time with the jacobs family last night...
i was excited to hold their new little one neely, she is a doll.
neely's big sister paige and big brother cason were so much fun.
i was going to get cute pictures of them too but my camera battery died after i took these. i loved how paige and cason ran out the door as we were leaving so they could give us the sweetest hugs. i also loved the little story brandi told me about how paige was randomly saying nice things about me the other day.
we will go visit again soon for more hugs, funny entertainment, and some cutie pictures.
Aww, we loved visiting with you guys too. When you left Paige said "I love hugging them". A while later she goes "I liked when he squeezed me tight." Apparently Will gives good hugs like Caso. :)
ReplyDeleteAwww their baby is adorable!!! I think you and Will should have one soon!! :) And Skye......what's up with you and kitchen utensils??? You don't get along with them and that's weird cuz you're a wonderful chef!!! Mia still wants to come play in your bedroom!!! There must be something magical about your guys' bedroom! :)
