ode to sassy and thunderstorms

                                                            want directions to my house?

ok....

first you go under the magic bridge

follow the rainbow

to the chocolate river

float down the chocolate river for 2.5 seconds and you will reach your destination.

there is nothing like an arizona rainstorm.  my short drive home from work started out sunny. 

then the beautiful dark clouds let loose about 3 minutes in to my drive.

at one point i could barely see the road. 

thank goodness for my trusty sidekick sassy (yes it's true i have affectionately named my car)

if it weren't for her i may have never made it through that chocolate river safely.

if you are like me you hit the garage door opener button out of instict when you are a few feet away. 

imagine my disappointment when i remembered this...

za husband has taken over the garage for now with his classic car collection. 

poor sassy and poor me for getting out in the wild rain in a dress.

i decided waiting in the car for a few to see if it would let up might be a good idea.

i snapped pictures on my phone through the window until it got boring then i got brave and soaked.

guess what???

i promptly changed into dry clothes then za husband thought it might be wonderful to check our mailbox down the street....while it was still raining.  we ran and laughed and splashed like kids to the mailbox. 

we got soaked but didn't care because it was very fun.  i 'm sure any neighbors that might have been watching thinks we are lunatics.  oh well.  we kind of are lunatics sometimes and that is why i love us.

will was laughing and smiling even more on our run home because of this

his otter box phone cover came in the mail.

happy!!!!!  so happy we have crazy eyes.

i love rainstorms and the lunatics that we are!
