asking me to pick a favorite holiday is basically like asking me to pick my favorite movie...next to impossible. i love all holidays, but really there is something magical about halloween and so i guess i could say it's my favorite. maybe it's just because i love this time of year and maybe it is because i'm a kid at heart and halloween involves dressing up which is a kid sort of thing. either way i'm sharing the love with you.....my readers! one of you lucky loves will get a creation of mine.

ReplyDeleteSo how about I tell you why I love some of my top faves. I love the owl ones because I love owls and stars (I actually almost bought one of these too!) I love the key ones because I have a weird thing for keys (hm, are we related?)... I love the bird one cause it's just plain adorable and I love the rain one because it's so cute and rain makes me happy too, lol.
And of course I love the pumpkin one because 1. i love pumpkins 2. i love Halloween and 3. they remind me of Tim Burton
Love is the Key #5 is my favorite. I, too, love skeleton keys! I have found some kewl necklaces at local antique shops from old keys. Always makes me imagine what stories those keys hold! This is going to sound soooo cheesy, but my favorite holiday is Valentines Day. All the fluff and commercial aspects aside, I think its a wonderful idea to celebrate the LOVE you have for the people in your life. Not too mention I have a blast making V-day cookies. And who didn't love filling out the valentines for all your classmates?? By the way, your art is so fun and colorful....I would love to see what you could do painting Sugar Skulls!! I am determined to give it a try myself someday:)
ReplyDeleteI love your snails best right now, but Delaney & Hailey vote for the owls. :) My favorite holiday is the 4th of July! Always great weather (except the one freak rainstorm year, but how can you really complain about rain?), lots of friends, family, bbq's, great food, and fireworks.
ReplyDeleteYour snails and the rainclouds are my favorites, of course. I was a bit sad when we finally got our internet working and I saw the snails were sold. Not that I should be spending any more $ at the moment anyway.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday isn't really a holiday but a season. Its Fall..I like fall because All my favorite things fall in between. The cool weather, the colors, the pumpkins, the leaves, the brisk fall air. Then Halloween and the kids dressing up, the fun, the candy corn and apples. Then Thanksgiving. I am so excited every year to spend time with family and have such wonderful food together and Enjoy the season. Since we really don't get that cold here, I factor Christmas right into fall. So for me my favorite Holiday is Falliday:)
I have to say that my favorite is 3 little pumpkins. I really love this time of year too so it is hard to choose. I am going to say Halloween because it starts the whole season off! I love your work. It is very real.
ReplyDeleteDont know if i made this in time, but i'll do it anyway... I love the rain makes me happy picture! It really does make me happy since im from arizona and im used to not having much of it. Living here in england Ive loved every single rain that has come around. Everyone always looks at me like a freak when i say i love the rainy cloudy weather here. My fav. holiday is my birthday! Not everyone celebrates it but the people who count do ;) Plus i get a bday week so who wouldnt love a whole week of barking orders with the sentence "but its my bday week" at the end of it to seal the deal. HA!
