Then we celebrated by doing the following:
Eating up the delicious homemade macaroni and cheese I created
Taking a trip to Walmart {our most favorite place ever} for groceries and such
After the insanity a.k.a. Walmart we settled in and baked brownies
then watched Home Alone.
Home Alone is a favorite of mine. I've seen it about a billion times. It was one we watched a bunch as a family since regular cable TV was a luxury we didn't have back then. Movies were our number one source of lazy entertainment. I can still picture us sitting together at home watching it. My dad shuffling a handful of peanut m&m's around in his fist then popping them in his mouth one at a time. Those were the days :)
I remember seeing Home Alone at the movies with my parents, brother, and the Waddell family.
Things I remember most about that evening at the lovely Kingman cinema:
-I loved being with family. There was so much comfort in the 4 of us being together.
-I wished I had a bigger family after watching the movie.
-I never wanted to be left home alone because that would be scary.
By the way, we did the math and that movie is 19 years old. That doesn't seem possible and it kind of makes me feel ancient.
I can just see your dad with the fist full of M&M's and his soda/juice drink with ice. This blog entry made me emo. Will looks studly doing his handstand. Real russians do handstands. :)
